BIA Group to supply Furukawa & RTDrill brands across Central and West Africa for Euroforgroup

Euroforgroup and BIA have signed a distribution agreement for BIA to supply the Furukawa and RTDrill drill brands on behalf of Euroforgroup in Central and West Africa, thus strengthening their presence in these territories. BIA will represent Euroforgroup in West Africa in Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Gambia, Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin and Niger; and in Central Africa in Chad, Cameroon, Central African Republic and DRC

For more than 40 years, Euroforgroup has been distributing drilling machines and equipments in France, Maghreb (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) and Central and West Africa. The family enterprise managed by Hervé Cohade is the exclusive and historical representative of the Furukawa brand in these regions. Euroforgroup has made drilling its core business and has diversified its trading activities, through rental and training (Foraloc) and the manufacture and trading of drilling equipment (Technidrill). The group also acquired two drilling rig manufacturers TM Bohrtechnik in Austria and Reichdrill in the United States in 2013 and 2017 respectively – now called RTDrill.

By offering a complete range of drilling machines and equipment, Euroforgroup says it meets the most specific needs of its customers in mineral exploration, water drilling, special foundations and mining and quarrying. Thanks to the complementary Furukawa and RTDrill ranges, the French group believes it is positioned well among the world leaders in the drilling market. “On the strength of its expertise and experience, Euroforgroup places the customer at the centre of its strategy: on the one hand in product development and on the other hand in support and after-sales service.”

“BIA and Euroforgroup, two family-owned companies sharing the same passion for client satisfaction, development of services tailored to specific situations, join their forces in West and Central Africa in order to expand their presence, range of products and proximity aiming at increasing customer satisfaction, both in the field of construction and in mining,” said Cohade, President of Euroforgroup.

BIA has been active since 1902 and says it is recognised by its customers for the quality of its products and services in the mining and quarrying, construction, transport and energy sectors. Present in more than 20 countries in West and Central Africa as well as in the Benelux regions, the family-owned group says it distinguishes itself through the extent of its network and state-of-the-art technical facilities close to its clients’ operations. “Continuously developing its capabilities and expertise to meet the ever-growing customer needs, BIA provides a wide range of solutions including: equipment sales, structured financing solutions, supply chain management, maintenance and repair contracts, training as well as technological innovations to increase the safety and productivity of job sites.”

“As a complete solution provider, we consider drill rigs to be an integral part of our offering for mining, quarry and construction customers. With its expertise on both product and application, Eurofor is a first-class partner complementing BIA’s assets. I am confident about the capacity of both Eurofor and BIA teams to build a strong partnership that serves our customer better than ever,” said Vincent Bia, CEO of BIA Group.

“Sharing the same values and the same vision, Euroforgroup and BIA are sealing a partnership combining the drilling expertise with an established and recognised network in Africa. The two family groups aim to be closer to their customers by offering them a range of complementary products and technical support as close as possible to their operations.”
