Austrian based xelectrix Power GmbH – an internationally operating company specialized in energy storage, optimization and control – is part of an ambitious project at the Expo Dubai 2020 taking place from 1.10.2021 – 31.03.2022.
The xelectrix Power Energy Storage System UNLIMITED M10 is used to form a 100% renewable off-grid EV charging infrastructure for a clean, renewable, self-sustain electric car charging station of the future! The micro-grid is deployed at the DP World Pavilion with 40 kWp photovoltaic panels being installed on the roof of the Pavilion. The vehicles operate during the day and charge during the night allowing for most of the PV generation to be stored for evening usage.
The xelectrix BESS consists of 80 kW inverter and 200 kWh battery is connected to 3 x 22 kW EV chargers. Power generated during the day will be used to charge the 44 kWh batteries on-board the new Arrival’s Generation Electric Vehicles from UPS- a new category of electric vehicles that surpass traditional vehicles in cost, design and efficiency with 50% operational cost savings for fleet owners.
Thanks to xelectrix energy management system (EMS), the charging behavior is fully controlled without any need of external systems leading to more efficient, cost saving and self-sustain charging stations. The sustainable xelectrix Power project is also honored in the “Walk of Fame” presented at the Austrian Pavilion.
