Rokbak names new dealer for Zimbabwe

Rokbak, a manufacturer of off-highway haulers for the mining, quarrying, and construction sectors and a member of the Volvo Group, has appointed Machinery Exchange as its new dealer in Zimbabwe.

Machinery Exchange, a subsidiary of the Industrial Exchange Group (IEG), will now handle Rokbak’s truck sales and service support across the country, operating from its headquarters in Harare, with additional branches in Bulawayo and Hwange. Rokbak highlighted the increasing infrastructure and mining activity in Zimbabwe as a key factor driving interest in its newly available RA30 and RA40 trucks, expecting them to become popular choices in the region.

“The partnership with Rokbak allows us to address the growing needs of our mining and construction clients, further strengthening our position as a leading earthmoving equipment supplier in the region,” said Irene Khumalo, IEG’s head of marketing and PR.

A Growing Market “Mining and infrastructure form the backbone of Zimbabwe,” noted Chetan Samji, IEG’s commercial manager. “With growth in domestic industries and rising foreign investments, especially from countries like China and India, we see great opportunities for Rokbak trucks in the near future.”

As part of the agreement, Machinery Exchange will offer full aftersales support to ensure customers receive top-tier service and maintenance, crucial for maximizing the performance and lifespan of Rokbak haulers in Zimbabwe’s tough working conditions.

“We’ve been eager to establish a stronger presence in Zimbabwe and build relationships with customers through a well-established dealer,” said Paul Culliford, Rokbak’s regional sales manager for EMEA. “Partnering with Machinery Exchange is the ideal solution, as they share our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, backed by IEG’s extensive expertise and service network.”

This move into Zimbabwe follows Rokbak’s recent expansion in West Africa through its partnership with Heavy Machinery Dealership.
