Boosts productivity and equipment lifespan with Atlas Copco’s proactive, real-time fleet management system: FleetLink

Atlas Copco Power Technique is leading the digital charge in fleet management innovation with FleetLink. First introduced in 2019, this advanced, intelligent telematics system is designed to remotely monitor and manage entire machine fleets.

Roelf van Niekerk, Sales Engineer at Atlas Copco Power Technique, stresses that FleetLink is so much more than a monitoring system. “It’s a digital transformation tool that provides a clear view into every aspect of equipment operation. Customers have instant access to everything they need to know about their fleet. Armed with this information at their fingertips, they are able to manage their machines in real-time and leverage the system’s intelligent recommendations.”

Whether managing a few units or an entire fleet, this is a true Connectivity Solution that transforms fleet management by empowering customers to track equipment locations, assess performance, make proactive data-driven decisions and pinpoint opportunities for improvement; this strategy enhances uptime, productivity and efficiency.

Designed to deliver not just data but actionable insights, FleetLink enables fleet managers to shift from reactive to proactive management, leading to significant cost savings, extended equipment life and optimised operations with a direct impact on the bottom line.

FleetLink’s SmartBox hardware, along with the Smart Subscription, monitors essential parameters such as engine load, speed, temperature and air discharge, network and regulator pressure. Noting another standout feature of FleetLink, Van Niekerk explains that the unit is equipped with GPS location and Gio Fencing capabilities, effectively serving as a tracking device.

He also underscores that FleetLink is not limited to new equipment; it can be installed on most Atlas Copco Power Technique mobile products up to five years old with retrofitting possible on older units. This flexible installation ensures that every piece of equipment benefits from intelligent monitoring, regardless of age.

To further enhance the user experience, the first year of subscription is free on selected models, allowing customers to experience the full value of FleetLink without any initial financial commitment. There after a yearly subscription fee is applicable at a minimal cost. “Our goal is to give customers full control over their fleets, using FleetLink to improve both performance and profitability,” affirms Van Niekerk.

Atlas Copco is leading the digital evolution with FleetLink, ushering in a new era of fleet management that empowers customers with a smarter, more connected future. “FleetLink is an innovation that keeps businesses competitive in today’s fast-paced, digitally-driven world,” concludes Van Niekerk.
