Sulzer’s new ES balanced single mechanical element seal is designed for the AHLSTAR pump ranges A, APP, NPP and WPP.
It has an integrated shaft sleeve that protects the shaft from the process liquid and its design is simple but robust, enabling fast and easy installation and maintenance. The seal is fitted to the standard case cover of the pump and can be used either without flushing, with recirculation flushing or with external flushing.
Sulzer’s ES seal is for use in water and light process applications with clean and slightly contaminated liquids, viscous liquids, fibrous slurries up to 3% consistency and in temperatures up to 140°C (284°F) depending on the seal flushing arrangement and seal chamber pressure.
The new seal is the result of extensive product development and has been tested in real working conditions to ensure reliability. Sulzer’s worldwide sales and service network will introduce the new seal offering globally, both for new products and for the aftermarket.
